You can renew your software maintenance at any point before or after the expiration date. When you renew, software maintenance will be extended one year from the expiration date associated with the software maintenance, not the date you place the renewal order.
For example, if your maintenance renewal date is August 5, 2017, but you want the payment posted to your July credit card statement, you can renew on July 29, 2017. Your credit card is charged on July 29, 2017, and the maintenance renewal date will update from August 5, 2017 to August 5, 2018. Similarly, if you let your maintenance lapse, and then renew on September 16, 2017, the new maintenance renewal date will be August 5, 2018, not September 16, 2018.
To renew your software maintenance, follow these instructions:
- Log in to My Account at http://myaccount.goldensoftware.com/
- Click the My Products button.
- Locate the product in the product list.
- Click the Renew now for $XXX.XX link to add the renewal to your cart.
Note: you if you have a student license you will not see this button, since the actual license has expired, rather than the maintenance. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org with your current class transcript to purchase another annual student license.
- Continue adding items to your cart, if necessary.
- Click the View Cart button.
- Proceed to checkout.
Upon completing your purchase, the maintenance renewal date will be extended one year from your previous renewal date (not the date you purchase the renewal).
If you are more than one year past your renewal date, you will need to pay for two years of maintenance to catch up.
If you are more than two years past your renewal date, you will need to purchase a new software license. The price of your new software license includes one free year of maintenance.
Software maintenance entitles you to all new product releases within the annual term, discounts on training classes, and many other benefits.
