Next steps after renewing software maintenance or subscription
Both perpetual licenses with software maintenance and software subscriptions for Surfer and Grapher require license updates after renewal. The process for updating the license depends on whether you own a single-user or concurrent use license.
Single-user licenses:
- If your license was activated normally and your PC is connected to the internet, the license will be updated automatically the next time you start the program. To see the new renewal date for your software subscription or maintenance, open the program and select File | License Info. The renewal date is listed at the top of the License Information dialog.
- If you requested an offline activation when you installed the software, click on the Update offline button in the License Information dialog and follow the steps to create an offline license update request file. Contact us with the file. You will receive a new license file with instructions to update the license on your computer.
- If you are unable to click the Update or Update offline button, please contact us with your product key to request an updated license. You will receive a new license file with instructions for placing the updated license on your computer.
Concurrent use licenses:
- If your license was activated normally and your license server is connected to the internet, the license can be updated on the Manage tab in the License Administrator. To do this, select the product license in the Manage installed licenses table and then click the Update selected license button.
- If you requested an offline activation and your license server is not connected to the internet, please contact us with your product key to request an updated license. You will receive a new license file with instructions for placing the updated license on the offline server.
