Track deployment requirements and manage your network environments using the feature documentation for the Golden Software License Administrator. This utility provides a graphical interface for managing concurrent-use floating license pools across a local area network (LAN). Below we outline the core capabilities of the application, critical server-side version requirements, and the step-by-step process to manually audit your network installation details.
Core Functionality of the Interface
The License Administrator application acts as the management hub for floating network tokens. Network administrators use this tool to execute the following core tasks:
License Activation: Securely bind concurrent product keys to the host server's hardware signature.
Seat Tracking: Monitor active connections in real time to see which network users and workstations are currently drawing software seats.
License Deactivation: Release product keys from the active server environment to prepare for hardware migrations or network adjustments.
Remote Monitoring: View seat allocations and check server status remotely from a client workstation by adjusting connection paths.
Critical Deployment Milestones
To ensure uninterrupted software access, your server architecture must align with the compatibility comparison table please see Sentinel RMS License Manager Help.
Update concurrent use license to the latest version
The latest releases of Surfer and Grapher are available to all users with active software maintenance or an active software subscription. Before users can access the latest version, the license on the server computer must be updated. Please follow the directions below to update a concurrent license on the license server.
We highly recommend updating the License Administrator and License Manager while you update the license on the server computer.
Concurrent use license on a server with internet access
- Open the Golden Software License Administrator.
- Click Manage on the left side of the License Administrator window.
- In the Manage installed licenses section, click Surfer or Grapher.
- Click the Update selected license button at the bottom of the window.
Once the license on the license server is updated, software users can update the software by clicking File | Online | Check for Update.

Navigate to the Settings tab to confirm your connection to the operational license server.
Click the Status tab located in the left sidebar navigation pane.
Select the specific product key profile (Surfer, Grapher, or Strater) from the License Features list in the pane on the right.
