Forgetting a password is a common hurdle, but regaining access to your My Account portal is a straightforward process. Whether you have lost your credentials or simply wish to update them for security purposes, these steps will help you reset your password so you can get back to managing your licenses, downloads, and maintenance settings.

If you cannot sign in because you have lost or forgotten your password, follow these steps to securely generate a new one:
Request password reset
- Navigate to RESET MY PASSWORD
- Enter your registered email.
- Click the Send Email button.
- Check your inbox.
Troubleshooting common password reset issues

- Email not on file: You must use the email used to purchase the license, or for an account that you have registered the license to.
- Spam/Junk Folder : Sometimes this email is sent to a junk or SPAM folder, be sure to check these locations if you do not see the message after a few minutes.
- Expired Links: Password reset links are valid for 60 minutes. If you wait too long, you will need to request a new one.
- Whitelisting: To ensure you receive our system emails, consider adding sales@goldensoftware.com to your safe-sender list.
- Multiple Requests: Only the most recent reset email is active. If you clicked "Send Email" multiple times, ensure you are clicking the link in the very latest email received.
- Typographical Errors: Double-check that your email address is spelled correctly. If the email address is not in our database, a reset email cannot be sent.
Reset your password
- Open the reset email.
- Sender : sales@goldensoftware.com
- Subject : Change password request for Shop Golden Software
- Click the link in the email to take you to the Reset Password page.
- Enter your new password twice and then click Change password.
- You will see a green banner stating your password as been updated.
- Click the Return To Sign In link to sign in with your new password.
"I know my password but want to change it"
If you know your current password but wish to update it for security reasons, you can do so directly from your account settings:
- Navigate to the My Account page and sign in.
- Click Settings | Update Your Password.
- Enter your Current password and then your New Password twice.
- Click Update and your password will updated.
