Information provided in the Usage Log from the License Administrator

Surfer, Grapher, and Strater concurrent-use license usage is tracked by the Sentinel RMS License Manager and saved to a few different locations. The unencrypted log file can be found in C:\ProgramData\Golden Software\License Administrator\UsageInfo.csv.

Before you view the UsageInfo.csv file, it needs to be updated. To update the data in the file, follow these steps.

Open the Golden Software License Administrator on the license server.
Select the Usage Information tab.
Wait for the green progress bar to complete the data update.
Now open the file C:\ProgramData\Golden Software\License Administrator\UsageInfo.csv

The information included in this log is explained below.

Column	Element	Description
A	Feature	Product feature name.
B	Version	Product version name.
C	Day	Day of the week
D	Date	Date
E	Time	Time
F	Transaction	The transaction type as categorized below. 0- A license is issued 1 - A license is denied 2 - The license application released the license 8 - A commuter license is checked out 9 - A commuter license is checked in
G	Numkeys	The number of licenses in use of the current request/release
H	Keylife	For how long (in seconds) the license was in use (Only applicable for license release entries)
I	User	The user name of the application associated with the entry
J	Host	The host name of the application associated with the entry
K	Lsver	The License Manager version
L	Capacity Flag	Always 1 for Golden Software licences.
M	License Capacity	Always a hyphen for Golden Software licenses.
N	Team capacity	Always a hyphen for Golden Software licenses.
O	User capacity	Always a hyphen for Golden Software licenses.
P	Record number	Always a hypen in the unencrypted log
Q	Client ID	Always a hypen in the unencrypted log
R	Readable checksum	Readable checksum of the record
