Activate single user license

The Golden Software single user license agreement permits the software to be installed on two computers, but it can only be used by one user on both computers. If the software is needed on a third computer, the software license must be deactivated on one of the original two computers before it can be activated on the new computer.

Please follow these directions to activate a single user license:

  1. Open the program and click the Enter Product Key button in the Licensing window

  2. In the License Activation window, enter your product key and click Activate

  3. Click OK when the Activation is complete message is displayed.

If you are unable to activate your product key, read the text that appears below the box where you entered your product key.  If you are unable to fix the problem, you can click the Create support file link in the lower-right and contact us with the ZIP file. Include a summary of what you were trying to do.

Activate concurrent use license (client side computer)

The Golden Software concurrent-use license agreement permits the software to be installed on multiple computers for use by anyone within the organization. The number of simultaneous users cannot exceed the number of license seats. To that purpose, only one activation is provided for the server computer. The license is activated on the license server, and then any users wishing to use the software can connect to the license server to use a seat.

If you have purchased a concurrent use license, a license server must be set up to activate and use the software. Instructions for setting up a license server and activating the software on the server can be found here.

After the license server has been set up, you can install the program on your computer and get a seat from the license server by following these directions:

  1. Install and open the program on your PC.
The PC should be on the same local network as the license server.  If you are not sure, ask your IT administrator
  2. Click Select License Server in the Licensing dialog

In order for the client computers to connect to the server, the server machine must be discoverable to all computers on the same internal network. To verify that the client machines will be able to connect to the server, you can ping the server machine from the client machines, or navigate to the server machine in a Windows explorer window from the client computer.
