Golden Software provides its customers with two distinct licensing options: concurrent use and single user. The single user license is designated for one specific individual, allowing them to use the software on a maximum of two computers. In contrast, the concurrent use license permits multiple users to access the software, but only a set number can use it simultaneously, based on the number of licenses purchased. This article will guide users on how to seamlessly transition between a single user license and a concurrent use license, ensuring flexibility and efficiency in their software usage.
Switch from single user to concurrent use license
To switch from a single user license to a concurrent license, first deactivate the single user license and then connect to the license server hosting the concurrent license.
- Click File | License Info
- Click Deactivate License button
- Click OK to confirm that you want to deactivate the license
- Close all open dialogs and close the program
- Open the program
- Click Select License Server in the Licensing dialog
- In the License Server Selection dialog, choose whether to search for servers on the network or enter a server name
- Choose the server from the list and click Get License
Switch from concurrent use to single user license
If you are currently using concurrent license seat and want to switch to an available standalone single user license, you can follow the steps below to forget the license server and activate the single user license instead. - Click File | License Info
- Click the Forget Server button
- Close all open dialogs and close the program if it does not close automatically
- Open the program
- Click the Enter Product Key button
- Enter the single-user product key and click Activate
