    Hi Artur,

Thank you for posting your question. Yes, it is possible to add a new borehole (or well) into a cross section without losing your customized layers. Before redrawing the cross section, you just need to be sure you have checked the Keep customized layers option seen by selecting the cross section and viewing the Cross Section tab in the Property Manager. You can see full instructions to add/remove a borehole from a cross section while keeping your customized layers in the article Add or remove wells from a cross section in Strater

    Thank you,

    Brittany

    Hi Brittany,

Thank you very much for your answer. I do exactly everything in the way you mention in your comment. And I still don't have the cross-section keeping the scale of my customized layers. Before I recreate the cross-section I resize a page size to keep the scale of distance. After the process of recreation the customized layers are stretched wider than all boreholes (old and new ones),  width of boreholes are bigger and autocreation layers are re-drawn .

I tried to add two boreholes to the old cross-section.

    TIA

    Artur

Ps. I have tried to attach the old and the new draws of cross-sections to my post but I failed.

    Hi Artur,

Thank you for the additional information. It is likely resizing the page size that is the issue. To control the scale, instead use the steps below:

    1. In the ribbon, click View | Display | View Properties.
    2. In the Property Manager on the View tab, scroll down to the Scale section.
    3. If you do not want the scale to Auto-recalculate and instead want to enter your own scale, uncheck the Auto-recalculate scale box and change the scale as desired in the options listed in the Scale section.

If you are still having trouble, please email us at support@goldensoftware.com. Feel free to include your project as it may be easier to take a look to pinpoint the correct settings so the custom layers remain after adding a well.

    Thank you,

    Brittany
