Grid data between 2d cross sections in Voxler

    Hi Benjamin,

If you have 2D cross sections, rather than x,y,z grids, really you have x, y, or some x/y distance, ,z, and c grids. You will need x, y, z, c in order to grid the data in Voxler and create a volume. To do this, you will need to assign real-world x and y coordinates to your profile lines, so you will likely want to convert your GRDs to DATs. Once you've done the coordinate assignment, you can combine the files into a single DAT for import into Voxler. If you don't know how to do this coordinate assignment, you can modify the instructions here: https://support.goldensoftware.com/hc/en-us/articles/360006217314-How-can-I-create-a-3d-model-in-Surfer-from-a-picked-contour-in-multiple-2D-profiles-. If you have x or y rather than distance as the first variable, the steps will be much simpler, since all you will have to do is calculate the equation of the line between the two x,y endpoints of the profile, and then calculate the y's for each x from your grid (or alternatively, calculate the x's for each y).

    Hi Leslie,

Thanks for your quick and extensive answer. It worked perfectly (after some adjustments due to software version).
