    Hi Abdoulaye,

You can overlay the boundary maps by selecting the Map object in the Contents manager, then using the Home | Add to Map | Layer | Base command. Surfer will display the layers in the order they are shown. If you cannot see the boundaries, it is possible they are underneath the contour map. You can click and drag the layers in the Contents manager to move them into the preferred order.

Another option would be to turn the opacity down on the drought index map. You can do this by selecting the drought index layer in the Contents manager, then in the Properties manager, click the Layer tab and lower the Opacity.

If neither of these solutions resolve the issue, please email support@goldensoftware.com with your Surfer project for additional support.

    Thank you,

I added a base raster using base server, the problem if you lower opacity you lose the information on the other map. So one shadow the other.

Maybe I am not very clear on my explanation, or doing something in not correct form.

    Hi Abdoulaye,

Thank you for additional information. You will need to download a vector boundary file from the server, rather than raster. The vector file will contain lines and no fill, so you will not have issues with the opacity. You can find instructions to download a boundary file in this knowledge base article: https://support.goldensoftware.com/hc/en-us/articles/226505687-Where-can-I-download-boundary-files-for-use-in-Surfer-.

I'll try to download because on the server I am having error communicating with  the server. I sent you a sample file for the task I plan to do.

    Hi Abdoulaye,

If you are having trouble connecting to the server, I would recommend downloading from the link provided in the KB article above. We do not have control over the servers and are not able to assist in reaching them.

We will look for your sample file and provide support via email.

    Thank you,
