    Hi Kurt,

It is already possible to do what you're asking in MapViewer 8.

    1. Select your object.
    2. Click to the Arrange tab in the ribbon bar.
    3. In the Position section, type in your desired X and Y position values (in page units).

    Thanks!

Hi Leslie, thanks for your answer.

I failed to notice this option.

two more comments on this feature request:

    1) It does not work fine with a scale bar or  a legend, because MV "thinks" the user wants to resize the scalebar / the legend, while there is just "a move" in x and/or y-direction. the "warning message" should only pop up, when the user changes the values for width and/or height.

    2) I am a big fan of context-menus, so doing this operation also with a right-click and a context-Input-Window would be very handy.

    Sincerely

    Kurt

    Hi Kurt,

I see the same thing you do with respect to the warning. I've notified our programmers. As for the context-menu idea, are you saying you'd like to right click on an object and have a Position and a Size command that you can click on to bring up a dialog box of the W/H or X/Y?

    Thanks!
