    Hi Artur,

Currently the fixed width options are set linearly. So, if you change the axis scale to Log, the widths will be incorrectly shown. You can work around this by using a transform of the linear values. To do so:

    1. Open the data file.
    2. Add a new column of data to the worksheet by using the Cells | Data | Transform command.
    3. For the equation, use: C = A * n where C is an empty column A is the x axis data n is an approximation of the desired bar width.
    4. Save the worksheet.

After the data is saved, open the bar chart graph.

    1. Select the Bar Chart in the Object Manager.
    2. In the Plot tab, change the Bar Width setting to Column.
    3. Set the Width Column to column C (or whatever column was used as the empty column in the equation).

The width should be approximately correct. If this does not work for you, can you please email me the GRF and associated data? I can then take a look.

    Thanks!

    Sabrina

    Hi Artur,

Beginning in Grapher 14 we've added the ability to define bar widths using from/to or width data columns containing values in plot units.

See here for more information about Grapher 14:

    Thanks!
