I've been trying to map the bathymetry of a fjord region and struck some minor issues. Most of the map has a large enough bathymetry data density but in some areas where only single point bathymetry is available the fjord becomes patchy (see pictures).
I'm using the triangulation with linear interpolation method. What I think is happening is that the shores (dense data points with depth=0) are too dense in that area compared to the single point bathymetry and thus the zones where no bathymetry data is available will be interpolated as 0 depth.
What suggestions would you have for me to try out? any tips are welcome
Increasing the spacing (lowering the amount of nodes) decreases the other (good) parts too much in quality.
With kind regards,
