We've added some general improvements to the 3D View to make your models more visually appealing.
Light 3D point based on Environment Light Position
You can now choose to have Environment lighting control applied to 3D symbols (spheres, cubes) for point data in the 3D View. This makes your 3D points use the same lighting that's applied to your surfaces, giving you consistency in the scene representation. You can control this setting in the Lighting tab in Environment Properties.
Lines, points and text are now visually much smoother in the 3D View with the optional Antialiasing setting. When the 3D view is created, users with computers running modern graphics drivers will see a new Antialiasing option in Environment Properties. Checking this box will enable the multi-sample antialiasing, which works really well to smooth graphics artifacts (moire patterns, missing parts of lines, jagged edges, etc.) of all objects including grid lines, axes, contours and text. If the 3D view antialiasing is turned on, the copy-to-clipboard and export-to-image functions will also be antialiased.
