Color a line plot line with a gradient in Grapher

Grapher can color an entire plot line from beginning to end using a gradient tied to the order of your data points in the worksheet. You can use this feature to analyze cyclical data and identify overlaps, such as when plotting voltammetry curves. To do so:

  1. Select your line plot.
  2. Click on the Line tab in the Property Manager.
  3. In the Plot Line Properties section, change the Color method to Colormap.
  4. Choose the desired predefined color gradient from the Colormap list, or click the ... button to create a custom colormap.
