How can I add or remove wells from my cross section?

Strater 5 allows users to edit the well selector or assign a new well selector in order to add or remove wells from a cross section.  

To create and assign a new well selector to the cross section, follow the steps below.

  1. In the View Manager, click the Map view.
  2. In the Object Manager, click the Map to select it.
  3. In the Property Manager, click the Limits tab.
  4. Click the Fit All button to make all wells visible on the map.
  5. Click the Map | Add | Well Selector command.
  6. Click on each well in the map from left to right and then press ENTER.

Update the well selector line in the map view, or add a new well selector line, to update your cross section with a new set of wells.

  1. Click the Cross Section in the View Manager.
  2. In the Object Manager, click the Cross Section object to select it.
  3. In the Property Manager, click the current value in the Well selectors field and select the new well selector.
  4. Click Yes in the Strater Warning dialog to redraw the cross section layers.

The new well is added and default layers are drawn.

 

To add or remove wells from an existing well selector, follow the steps below.

  1. In the View Manager, click the Map view.
  2. In the Object Manager, click the current well selector line to select it.
  3. In the Property Manager, click Edit in the Edit well selector field.
  4. In the Well Selector Editor dialog, use the Add and Remove buttons to add/remove the desired wells and then click OK.
  5. Click the Cross Section in the View Manager.
  6. In the Object Manager, click the Cross Section object to select it.
  7. In the Property Manager, click Recreate in the Recreate cross section field.
