I'm going to be in the field and won't have access to the network. Will I still be able to use the software?

All of our software can be run without network or internet access.  If you have a single-user license of the software, network access is not required and no additional steps are needed before leaving for field work.

If you are using a concurrent use license of the software, a seat will need to be checked-out from the license server to maintain access to the software.  Follow the steps below to do this:

  1. Click the File | License Info menu.
  2. In the License Information window, click Check Out License.
  3. In the Days to Commute dialog, enter the number of days you will require the license without reconnecting to the server and then click OK.

When you return from the field and no longer require offline access to the software, follow the steps below to return the seat to the server.

  1. Click the File | License Info menu.
  2. In the License Information window, click Check In License.
Note: Licenses can be commuted for no more than 30 days and your system administrator can prohibit commuting.
