The Default Symbols symbol set from previous versions of MapViewer has been replaced with the symbol set called GSI Default Symbols (note preceding "GSI"). Any older file that used Default Symbols should be updated to GSI Default Symbols as soon as it is opened in the newer version of MapViewer.
If you do not have the GSI Default Symbols font, or any of the other GSI symbol sets (e.g. GSI Map Symbols, GSI North Arrows, etc), installed on your computer, then you can reinstall the fonts. To reinstall the fonts, please see this KB article: Where did my MapViewer fonts go?
