I have a bitmap that is not a part of the MapViewer map. When I change the map projection, the bitmap is altered. How can I stop this?

There is an option in MapViewer to project bitmap images. By default this option is turned on, so importing referenced TIFs and other georeferenced imagery will place these in the correct location with respect to the rest of the map. If you have a bitmap that you do not wish to project though, like a company logo, you can easily disable this option by following these steps:

  1. Click File | Options to open the Options dialog.
  2. Click User Interface in the pane on the left.
  3. Uncheck the box in the pane on the right next to Project images.
  4. Click OK.

Now your images should remain unaffected by any changes to the map projection.
