Yes, you can create multiple plots with each plot using separate axes. A plot can use any existing X or Y axis to display. Or, a new axis can be created for each plot.
To create a new graph with a single line/scatter plot, click the Home | New Graph | Basic | Line/Scatter Plot command. Select the data file and click Open.
Once the graph is created, the following steps can be used to add a new axis:
- Click anywhere on the graph to select it.
- Click the Home | Add to Graph | Axis command.
- Select the axis type to add and click OK.
- Set the axis position and click OK. The new axis is added to the graph.
To add a new plot using a different axis than the default:
- Click anywhere on the graph to select it.
- Click the Home | Add to Graph | Plot command.
- Select the plot type to add and click OK.
- In the Choose Axes dialog, click on the existing axis name under X Axis or Y Axis. Select the desired axis. Click OK.
- Select the worksheet for the new plot and click Open. The new plot is added to the graph, using the selected axes.
To add a new plot and create a new axis at the same time:
- Click anywhere on the graph to select it.
- Click the Graphs | Add to Graph | Plot command.
- Select the plot type to add and click OK.
- In the Choose Axes dialog,
- Click on the existing axis name under X Axis or Y Axis. In the list, select Create new axis.
- Set the Length, X, and Y positions.
- Click OK.
- Select the worksheet for the new plot and click Open. The new plot and new axis are added to the graph.
To change a plot to use a different axis:
- Follow the steps above to create a new axis and/or a new plot.
- Click on the plot to select it.
- In the Property Manager, click on the Plot tab.
- Next to X axis or Y axis, click on the existing axis name. Select the desired axis from the list. The plot updates to use the newly selected axis.
