How can I add a regression fit line to my graph in Grapher?

Grapher supports the addition of fit curves to any line/scatter plot type. To add a fit curve to your scatter plot, complete the steps below.
  1. Click on the Line/Scatter Plot in the Object Manager to select it.
  2. Click Graph Tools | Add to Graph | Fit Curve or Home | Add to Graph | Fit Curve. By default, a linear fit will be added.
  3. Click on the new Linear Fit in the Object Manager to select it.
  4. In the Property Manager, click on the Plot tab.
  5. Change the Fit type field to your desired regression type.

Note that if you have a line connecting the actual data points in addition to the fit curve line, you can make the line connecting the points invisible by completing the steps below:

  1. Click on the Line/Scatter Plot in the Object Manager to select it.
  2. Click on the Line tab in the Property Manager.
  3. Click on the existing line option (Solid) next to Style and select Invisible from the list.
