By default, Grapher has the order of items in the legend in the same order as the items appear in the Object Manager. The plot on the bottom of the list of Object Manager is drawn first in the graph and appears at the top of the legend.
This compares how the plots appear in the Object Manager and in the default legend.
To completely reverse the order of the plots in the legend:
- Click on the Legend in the Object Manager to select it.
- In the Property Manager, click on the Legend tab.
- Check the box next to the Draw descending option. The entries in the legend will automatically reverse direction.
The legend updates to show the new reversed order.
To change the order of the plots in the legend in Grapher v15 and newer:

The legend updates to show the new entry order.
