To display your axis with multiple date/formats:

1. Click on the date/time axis to select it.
2. In the Property Manager, click on the Labels tab.
3. In the General section, check the box next to:
   1. Show major tick labels
   2. Show minor tick labels
   3. Use date/time format
4. Click the Select button next to Major label date/time format.
   
5. In the Date/Time Format Builder dialog:
   1. Delete the text in the Date/Time Format (edit to change) field.
   2. Select the appropriate Predefined date/time formats option and click Insert, or type a custom date/time format (i.e. MMM d) into the Date/Time format (edit to change) box.
   3. Click OK.
6. If the date defines a range (for example, a day for which there will be hourly minor ticks), in the Property Manager on the Labels tab in the Label Settings section:
   1. Set Labels to edit to Major labels.
   2. In the Label Position section, check the box next to Between ticks.
   3. If desired, change the Offset in this section to something like -0.200 in so the label appears within the ticks.
      
7. Click the Select button next to the Minor label date/time format option.
8. In the Format Date/Time Builder dialog:
   1. Select the appropriate Predefined date/time formats option and click Insert, or type a custom date/time format (i.e. h TT) into the Date/Time format (edit to change) box.
   2. Click OK.
9. Click on the Ticks tab in the Property Manager.
10. In the Major Ticks section:
    1. If desired, increase the Length to a longer line (like 0.600 in), to more fully enclose the major labels.
    2. Check the box next to the Use date/time spacing option.
    3. Click the Every Year button next to Date/time spacing.
    4. Set the interval for the major tick marks (i.e. 1 Day).
11. In the Minor Ticks section:
    1. Check the box next to Show ticks on bottom to show the tick marks.
    2. Check the box next to the Use date/time spacing option.
    3. Click the Every Year button next to Date/time spacing.
    4. Set the interval for the minor tick marks (i.e. 6 Hour).

Display major tick marks across a range, such as a date, and minor tick marks at specific intervals, such as times.
