Use the command (cmd) line to install Surfer

To use the command line to install Surfer, you will enter the path of the installation file (MSI or EXE) in quotes. Use the /s after the installer file name to indicate a silent install.  

To open the command prompt window:

  1. Right-click the Windows Start menu icon.
  2. Click Windows PowerShell in the context menu.

OR

  1. Click the Windows Start menu icon.
  2. Type CMD
  3. Click Command Prompt in the search results.

Once the PowerShell or Command Prompt is open, you can navigate to the folder with the Surfer installation file in it, and use the following command line to install the defaults:

"<filename>.exe" 

 

Or, you open a cmd window and use the following command line to install the defaults:

"<file path>\<filename>.exe"
