Convert point data of real-world coordinate systems for use in Voxler

KB no longer maintained - Voxler is a retired product. Golden Software retired products are still supported, but no longer receive new features or updates. Many of Voxler's features are moving to Surfer . Please contact with any questions.

Voxler does not support projected coordinate systems in the Viewer window, however Voxler does support converting point data from one projected coordinate system to another in the Worksheet window.

A few things to take into consideration regarding coordinate systems in Voxler:

  1. Voxler is a 1:1:1 modeler, so it is recommended that you use a coordinate system in Voxler that has the same units in the X, Y, and Z directions. Information about how Voxler handles units can be found here.
  2. Voxler also requires that all files in a project are in the same coordinate space, otherwise the files will not overlay correctly. You can find instructions on how to use Voxler’s New Projected Coordinates here.
