If you can select objects from the data attribute view but not from the plot view, make sure that the layer is unlocked in the Layer Manager. If the layer is locked, click on the lock icon to unlock it.
If you are having trouble selecting a particular item (other items get selected instead), please see: Whenever I attempt to select an object in Didger, another nearby object gets selected instead.
