MapViewer writes a number of keys to two locations in the registry:
- 64-bit MapViewer 8 on 64-bit machine
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Golden Software\MapViewer\8
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Golden Software\MapViewer\8
- 32-bit MapViewer 8 on 64-bit machine
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Golden Software\MapViewer\8
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Golden Software\MapViewer\8
You must have full read/write/edit ability to both the registry and the directory where you are installing MapViewer to install or run the program.
