If you still do not see the graph update, click the File | Options command to open the Options dialog. Under the Environment section in the left pane, click Plots and make sure the Auto Track Worksheets box is checked.
Updating Worksheet Data Changed in Another Program (such as Excel)
If you graph was not open when changes were made:
If your worksheet data was changed in a program other than Grapher and your graph was not open when the change was made, save the data file in the other program. Open your graph in Grapher and click the Graph Tools | Worksheet | Reload command. Your plot will automatically update to show the new data.
If your graph was open at the time changes were made:
If the worksheet data was changed in a program other than Grapher and the graph was open when the change was made, save the data file in the other program. Then, click the Graph Tools | Worksheet | Reload command. This command re-reads the data from the saved file and will update your graph automatically.
Please note:
- If your Grapher project is saved as a GPJ, which embeds your worksheet data, you may need to save your Grapher project to Grapher's default GRF format. To do this, click the File | Save as command, and in the Save As dialog, set your Save as type to Grapher File (*.grf), then click Save.
- If your data file is stored on a server location, the Graph Tools | Worksheet | Reload command may not apply your changes if your data file is currently offline or in use by another user.
