To lighten the surface layer colors, you can turn off the 3D surface layer colors,or change the lighting angle and color.
To turn the 3D surface layer color off:
- In the Contents, select the 3D Surface layer.
- In the Properties, click the Overlays tab.
- Change the Color modulation to Use overlay color only.
To change the lighting angle and color:
- In the Contents, select the 3D Surface layer.
- In the Properties window, click the Lighting tab.
- Specify a more vertical light position, such as setting Vertical (degrees) to 90.
- Click on the Ambient color box to change the color from black to gray if desired.
