Surfer's Check for Update command does not find new versions. How can I fix this?

If you've checked the appropriate attachment on the Surfer Version History page to determine you don't already have the newest update to your version of Surfer:

  1. Log into the Administrator account on the computer.
  2. Right click on the Surfer.exe file in the Surfer installation directory, or the desktop icon, and click Run as administrator.
  3. When Surfer opens, click File | Online | Check for Update. If UAC (user account control) is turned off, Windows Firewall may block Surfer from contacting the update server. Click Unblock and the new version is detected and downloaded.

Windows Firewall has blocked some features of this program.
Unblock to allow Internet Update to access the update server.
