To update the grid or data file for an individual layer, select the layer in the Contents window, and in the Properties window on the General tab, click the Open File  icon. Select the new file and click Open.

Note: all vector base maps will be reloaded with their original drawn properties. If you changed the line colors, line styles, symbols, font, or fill patterns for the base layer - they are reverted to their original properties as defined in the file used to create the base map. If the base map file does not contain these properties (e.g. BLN, BNA, etc.), then the default properties are used.
