In the Strater 3 map view, I click on a symbol to edit its properties, but it doesn't change. Why?

In Strater 3, if changing the symbol properties in the Property Manager does not update the map with the new symbol properties, then this is because the map is using a scheme for the symbol properties. Strater 4 and 5 gray-out these symbol properties if a scheme is in use.

  1. Click the Wells layer in the Object Manager.
  2. In the Property Manager, click the Symbol tab.
  3. If Use Keyword Scheme For Symbols is checked, then the symbol properties displayed on this tab, or on the Symbol page for an individual well, will not change the actual symbol on the map. To use the symbol properties from the Property Manager, uncheck Use Keyword Scheme For Symbols on the Wells page.
  4. If you want to continue to use the scheme, edit the scheme properties by clicking Draw | Scheme Editor, opening the keyword scheme for the collars table, editing the properties for the scheme items, and clicking OK.
