How can I fit the graph to fill the page in Grapher?

Grapher graphs are sized according to the axis lengths. If the graph is too small to fit the page, the axis lengths can be adjusted. To do so:

  1. Click on the X Axis in the Object Manager to select it.
  2. In the Property Manager, click on the Axis tab.
  3. Change the Length to a length to match the size of the page. For instance, if the page is 11 inches wide (landscape letter size), you may want the axis to be 8 or 9 inches long.
  4. Click on the Y Axis in the Object Manager to select it.
  5. In the Property Manager, click on the Axis tab.
  6. Change the Length to a length to match the size of the page. For instance, if the page is 8.5 inches tall (landscape letter size), you may want the axis to be 6 or 7 inches long.
  7. Enable the page outline and margin outline:
    1. Click the Layout tab in the ribbon at the top of the Grapher window.
    2. Click Page Outline button to display the page outline. The outline is displayed if the Page Outline button is depressed (yellow color).
    3. Click the Margins button to display the margin outline. The outline is displayed if the Margins button is depressed (yellow color).
  8. Click on the Graph object in the Object Manager.
  9. Click and drag the graph to the desired location so that the entire graph fits on the page and inside the margins.

Note that if you have multiple X or Y axes, the lengths and locations may need to be adjusted for each axis.
