Can I install the 64-bit version of Grapher?

Grapher has a 32-bit and 64-bit version. Both versions are included in the same installer. To install the 64-bit version, you must have a computer with a 64-bit operating system.

To determine whether your operating system is 32-bit or 64-bit:

  1. Click the Windows Start button.
  2. In the Search programs and files box or the Search the web and Windows box, type System.
  3. Click on the System option in the Control Panel.
  4. At the top of the System window, the Windows edition is listed. In the middle of the window, the System type is listed. If this shows 64-bit, you can install the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Grapher. If this shows 32-bit, you can only install the 32-bit version of Grapher.
  5. Close the System window.

Now that you know what type of operating system you have, you can install Grapher. Double-click on the installation file to begin the install. In the first installer dialog, select the appropriate installation type and click Next.

Select the appropriate installation type in the first installer dialog.

In this instance, the 64-bit version of Grapher will be installed. If I wanted to install the 32-bit version, I would select 32-bit Install from the area highlighted in red in the image.

If you already have Grapher installed, you will need to uninstall and reinstall Grapher to change from the 64-bit to 32-bit version or from the 32-bit to 64-bit version.
