In Surfer, how many grid nodes are used in the calculations for Grid | Calculus?

The Grids | Calculate | Calculus commands (e.g. Terrain Slope, Terrain Aspect or Gradient Operator) use the four nodes immediately to the north, east, south and west to calculate the value at the center node. The corner nodes are not used.
