If you are running the current major release of Surfer, minor updates are available for free by clicking the File | Online | Check for Update command within Surfer. To use this command, we recommend running the program as administrator in order to ensure that the update process will be given permission to complete the download and installation. To run Surfer as administrator, right click the Surfer desktop icon or application EXE and click Run as administrator.
If you experience any problems with this command or would like to download the full version of the updated software, and you are running Surfer 8 or newer, you can log into the My Account portal on the Golden Software website, click the My Products button, and then click on your serial number/product key. In the expanded license information, click Download Surfer <version> installer.
If you are using Surfer 7 or earlier, please email your registered Surfer serial number to firstname.lastname@example.org. Once your serial number is verified, we will send you download instructions for the most recent version of your software. To determine your serial number, click the Help | About Surfer command. The serial number is listed in the dialog.
Version information can be found on the Version History page.
If you are running a previous version of Surfer and are interested in upgrading to the current version, additional information about this can be found in the articles How Do I Upgrade To The Latest Version If My Maintenance Is Active? and How Do I Purchase An Upgrade?.
