If you currently own a Surfer license there are a few ways to get your license to the current version. See below to learn more. If you don't own a license or have a legacy serial number license and are interested in the latest Surfer version, you can purchase a new license on the Buy Now page.

- Your software maintenance has expired
- You have a serial number (Learn more about serial numbers here)
You are an active maintenance user:
Minor updates are free for whichever version you are running, regardless of whether that version is current or not. If you have a newer version with active maintenance, upgrades are also free. For both cases, click File | Online | Check for Update (or Help | Check for Update) to update to the newest version you are licensed for. If you have a concurrent-use license, please ensure the license has been updated on the server: How do I upgrade my concurrent-use license to the latest version if my maintenance is active? before trying this command on the client machines.
To use this command, we recommend running the program as administrator in order to ensure that the update process will be given permission to complete the download and installation. To run Surfer as administrator, right click the Surfer desktop icon or application EXE and click Run as administrator.

Your software maintenance has expired
You can renew your maintenance online! See how here: How Do I Upgrade To The Latest Version If My Maintenance Is Active? Once you've renewed your maintenance, you can follow the instructions above to update to the latest version
You have a serial number
If you are using Surfer 13 or older you will only be able to update to the latest minor update of your licensed Surfer software version. To do this, click File | Online | Check for update or Help | Check for update in the program. If you are unable to update from within the program, please email your registered Surfer serial number to graphersupport@goldensoftware.com. Once your serial number is verified, we will send you download instructions for the most recent version of your Surfer software version. To determine your serial number, click the Help | About Surfer command. The serial number is listed in the dialog.
