Surfer automatically creates an installation log when the installer is run. The installation log is saved to your computer's temporary directory. You can create and find this file by following the instructions below:
- Right-click the Surfer installation EXE file and click Run as administrator.
- After the installation fails, open Windows Explorer.
- In the address bar at the top, clear the contents, type in %temp%, and press ENTER on the keyboard. Alternatively, you can navigate to C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Temp.
- The file is Surfer_xx_installer_log.txt, where xx is the version number of Surfer. Please email the log file to surfersupport@goldensoftware.com along with the full text of the installation error message.
