The best method is to remove the 3D extrusion objects in AutoCAD or convert them to regular objects and resave the DXF file to use in Surfer. If you are unable to remove the extrusions in AutoCAD, you may be able to work around the problem in Surfer by following these steps:
- Click Home | New Map | Base | Base or Home | Add to Map | Layer | Base if adding to an existing map).
- Select the DXF file and click Open.
- In the DXF Export Options dialog, make sure Skip Paperspace Entities is checked and click OK.
- In the DXF AutoCAD Drawing Warning, click either Yes or No to ignore or import the extruded entities. The DXF file is imported.
