Yes, you can choose to hang the cross section on different datums, such as mean sea level or a marker bed. To do this:

  1. Click View | Display | View Properties.
  2. In the Property Manager, click the View tab.
  3. At the bottom in the Reference datum section change the Reference datum

The default Reference datum is [None]. You can change this to Mean sea level (to display logs based on sea level) or Marker bed (to hang the cross section on a marker bed).

Marker Bed

Hang your cross section on mean sea level to display the well tops at their proper elevations.

If you change Reference datum to Marker bed, then the Marker bed field becomes active and you can choose which layer in the cross section to hang the cross section on. The top of the first instance of this layer in each borehole will display at a depth of 0.

Marker Bed

Hang your cross section on a marker bed to display the top of the first instance of this layer at a depth of 0.
