Choose which Z value to grid when there are multiple Z values at an XY location in Surfer

By default, Surfer uses the first Z value when there are multiple Z values at an XY location. This is called a duplicate. However, you have the opportunity to change how Surfer handles duplicates in the Grid Data dialog.

  1. On the Select Data page of the Grid Data dialog, click the Filter Data button.
  2. In the Duplicate Data section of the Filter dialog, choose the desired setting in the To Keep field.

  3. Click OK.
