If elevation was the z value used to create the grid, you can get the elevation in a few ways:
- If you have a map created from the grid file, you can hover your mouse over the map and the x,y,z location of your cursor is shown in the status bar.
- If you have a map created from the grid file, you can use the Map Tools | Layer Tools | Digitize command to click on the map and have the x,y,z location of where you clicked display in the Digitized Coordinates dialog.
- You can use the File | Open command to open the grid file in the grid editor window, and then you can click on a grid node to display the z value of that node at the top left of the window.
