Can I adjust the contrast and brightness for my image in Surfer?

Absolutely! To adjust the contrast/brightness of an image in Surfer:

  1. Import, copy/paste, or create a base map from your image file (the former two if your image is something unreferenced like a logo, and the latter if the image will be georeferenced, like an aerial image overlay).
  2. Select the Image in the Contents window (if your image is within a base layer, you may need to click the + next to Base to expand the layer before you see Image).
  3. On the General tab in the Properties window you can use the sliders or type new values for the Contrast, Brightness, Saturation, and Hue of the image.
